Which is the local currency?
In 2000, Ecuador adopted the US dollar as its official currency. So, in all our country we accept dollars. The local stores, resturants national Parks,etc prefers US$10 and $20 bills.

3. When is the best time to travel to the Galapagos?
Since the climate is nice all year round, there is no “best” or “better” time to visit the Galapagos. However, you might take other factors, such as high season, low season, and other things into account.
4. Can I take an immediate international flight once I return to Ecuador from Galapagos?
It is recommended to take the international flight back home, 24 hours after you return to mainland Ecuador. We recommend this option due to possible flight delays. However, if you prefer to travel back the same day, it is possible.
5. How many days do you recommend I stay in Ecuador?
The number of days depends on the time you have to make your trip. In the event that you want to visit an attraction in Quito or Guayaquil, it is recommended at least two days before or after your trip to the Galapagos Islands. We offer programs up to 8 days in the mainland. In the event that you want to visit the Amazon Rainforest you will need a minimum of 4 days.

When you travel to south America and especially to the Ecuadorian Andes, be ready to feel not only the great natural and cultural diversity but also its variable weather. The Andean highlands have two main seasons: wet (December-April) and dry (May-November), with an average temperature between 46°F (8°C) and 72°F (22°C).
The volcanic landscapes, the visit to the Cultural Heritage sites like Quito and Cuenca, the tours to the National Parks, crater lakes, waterfalls, could forest, indigenous craft markets, Andean towns and another gorgeous tourist sites will have a splendorous blue sky over during the dry season, but the dark clouds on the blue sky during the wet season will become to all these places the perfect scenery to take photos with a stunning colour contrast. All these mean that you are always welcome to visit the Andean region throughout the year.
